​I love designing beautiful cakes !

 

My name is Samanthia Franklin Hill, I started designing cupcakes and cookies for my daughter’s baby shower about two years ago.  At the end of 2013 I decided to turn my hobby into a business and I opened my cake shop, Layers and Crumbs.

 

This was away for me to relieve stress and earn some extra money by making others happy with deserts.  I had no idea I would become so passionate about designing cakes and cookies.  With the encouragement from  my family and closest friends, I decided to pursue my dream of owning my own company.

 

Taking classes with Celebrity Cake Designer’s, Jay Qualls and Marina Sousa, allowed me to really branch out and try things outside of my comfort zone. I spend most of my time creating pieces that include lace, flowers and many of my custom, hand-made designs.
